70 km from Salvador as the crow flies, on one of the most beautiful islands of the Bahia, in a magical setting due to its rarity, and preserved authenticity. Out of the way of prying eyes, a sumptuous, modern villa, which can accommodate up to ten people.

Made of eucalyptus wood, glass and waxed cocrete, it is surrounded by sea, tropical vegetation and leads directly onto a white sandy beach.

Just 10 minutes by boat and some 20 minutes on foot and “by mule” from the island’s main village, the Villa is a large transparent house built in 2012. It has maximum comfort and modern equipment. Its orientation allows it to enjoy, even at the height of the Bahian summer, the gentleness of the tropical sea breezes.

Cradled in a sprawling tropical garden, it leads directly onto a fine sandy beach 3 km long where a handful of parasol huts serve caïpirinhas, lobster, sea food and grilled fish. Even in the high season, there is a prevailing peace and quiet that contributes to the magic of this unique location
the villa covers a surface de 500 m2 and it is surrounded by 20 000 m2 of terrain, which makes it an haven of ecological peace particularly appreciated by birds.
The house, on stilts, is made up of a ground floor and an upper floor. On the ground floor, a large living room, decorated by two small interior gardens, looks out onto the sea on one side, and, a pool and tropical forest on the other. In the extension of this double-oriented space is a fully equipped open-plan kitchen. Two bedrooms, one with private bathroom and toilet occupy the rest of this lower level.

The ensemble is surrounded by connecting platforms one of which overhangs an above ground rail pool 20m long and 2.50m wide. Outside, a “churrasqueira” barbecue.

Upstairs, on either side of a wide runway, overhanging the ground floor, is a sprawling suite with a stunning view of the sea, equipped with a bathroom/dressing room and two large bedrooms with walk-in closets and bathrooms. Here, again, all the rooms are extended by large wooden balconies.

The living room space and bedrooms are air-conditioned.

The property has cutting edge communications technology: telephone, internet, wifi, television by satellite linked to a Bose sound system, including a DVD player and stereo.

The electric installation (220 volts) provides night lighting over the extend of the property. A powerful generator automatically takes over in the rare event of a power failure. Several cisterns and the municipal water distribution system provide considerable autonomy. Part of the water heating system is solar powered.
